What can be said about a city that offers its residents small-town living, quiet neighborhoods, and a low crime rate while also offering access to the many opportunities the greater Los Angeles area provides? Sun Valley is just such a city. Residents find themselves within a short drive of just about every kind of diversion they can imagine.

The beaches in Southern California are second to none. Anyone who has seen the cliffs at Malibu or the waves at Point Mugu, or experienced the attractions at the Santa Monica Pier, will say there’s nothing like it. Of course Southern California means hot summers for beachgoers, but the generally mild climate the rest of the year means the beaches are open for fun 365 days a year. Beaches not your thing? The mountains and Angeles National Forest are just miles away, full of parks, camping areas, hiking trails, and even rock climbing and wilderness spotting.

A number of cultural and educational attractions are nearby as well. The Natural History Museum, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the Museum of Contemporary Art and the Autry Museum of Western Heritage are just a few of the world-renowned museums in Los Angeles County. The J. Paul Getty Center, the California Science Center, the La Brea Tar Pits and the Los Angeles Zoo are also located near Sun Valley. And this is just a scratch on the surface.

The Sun Valley area offers great public schools, including John H. Francis Polytechnic High School, as well as private schools, such as the Village Christian Schools. For those who go on to higher education, Los Angeles and neighboring Orange County provide many impressive choices. The University of Southern California, Scripps College, Loyola Marymount University and Concordia University Irvine are all just short freeway hops away.
